The new Chesapeake Bay Hall with be a 64,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that includes both wet and dry labs, faculty offices, collaborative space, conference spaces, and work rooms to support the school’s aquatic science programs. the design provided a space that is welcoming and conducive to the coastal ocean and estuarine research happening inside. The institute continues to be among the largest marine research and education centers in the United States.

Polysonics design services included interior acoustics and security design. Acoustics services were designed optimum acoustics based on LEED V.4 requirements in core learning areas and building wide acoustics. Polysonics worked closely with William & Mary to coordinate all security requirements with the existing security system standards, and designed the new security system.
