Polysonics provided A/E services from Schematic Design through Construction Administration for the Byron G. Rogers U.S. Courthouse in Denver, Colorado. Scope of work included consulting and design services for acoustics, infrastructure and technologies to meet all AOUSC and GSA standards. In 2002 GSA initiated a four-year design and construction process to modernize the 1965, five-story, 247,000 sq. ft. Byron G. Rogers U.S. Courthouse and completed construction 2006 at a cost of $52.3 Million. Special features included one of the first access floor systems for cable management as well as HVAC. The design includes state-of-the-art capable courtrooms all ranging in different types of technology and acoustical solutions. Systems include complete systems cable plant, audio and voice reinforcement systems, digital recording, control systems, video teleconferencing, streaming media systems and distributed audiovisual systems.
